California Day 2

To begin, we woke up and went to breakfast. Everybody laughed and pointed at the room service plate left there from the day before. (We think it's still there.) Down at Breakfast, Aubrey and Claire got a little box of froot loops and ate most of them. I ate the rest. We all tried really hard to go to church but when we got there, (on time at that!) we drove around the parking lot and no one was there. We discovered that this ward was at stake conference so there was no church. We went back to hotel and vedged. Our plans this afternoon were to go visit some family so we all piled into the car and went over there. There were a lot of cool things in the house. "Look! This strawberry is almost as big as my face!" There was a lemon tree with a lot of lemons so we were asked to pick some and squeeze them to make strawberry lemonade. The rest of the visit was spent looking at old pictures of the family. We made our way to the next hotel after we bought gas. There was much excitement as our destination the next day was Disneyland!

California: Day one

My family and I were traveling to California and we had stopped to eat at In-n-Out when I checked my suitcase and Flat Aubrey and Claire had stowed away in there. They decided they wanted something to eat so I let them have a few bites of my burger and a couple fries. Claire was so tired from waking up early so she slept most of lunch.
WHen they finished lunch we all piled back into the car and drove, watching the scenery go by.
Aubrey really needed to go to the bathroom so we had to stop at one of those, "hoedunk rest stops". There was only one stall though and Claire decided she needed to go too so unfortunately she had to use the pet area.
Finally everybody was set and we were ready to do some serious driving. We got really comfortable and watched a movie on the portable dvd player.
We pulled into the hotel parking lot just as the movie was finishing. Aubrey and Claire rushed inside and took advantage of all the hotel amenities.
Everyone realized they were way hungry so they went to a delicious soup and salad buffet eating establishment and fed their faces.
Stuffed, they rode back to the hotel and they were in for the night.

Making Flat Friends

Making flat friends is an easy job. All you need are some pictures, tape, and construction paper. First, you start out by cutting out the faces of the pictures and the bodies made of construction paper.
Next you use the bodies as patterns to make clothes. For these flat people I made peter pan and minnie mouse.
If you are going to be putting your flat friends through a lot of stress, you can laminate them with packing tape. This will make it so that they are water proof and rip resistant.
